Helping Toronto choose well
Toronto Top Picks is an independent publication about the city's best local businesses. We research, compare and rank them, so you can decide with confidence.
Why we exist
Toronto has thousands of excellent local businesses, and finding the right one is harder than it should be. Search results are crowded, reviews can be hard to compare, and prices are often unclear. Choosing a med spa, a hair salon, a dentist or a contractor is a real decision, and it deserves better than a guess.
We built Toronto Top Picks to fix that. We put the research in one place, rank businesses on clear criteria, and explain our reasoning so you can check it against what matters to you.
What we publish
- Ranked lists that compare the best businesses in a category, with the reason each one earned its place.
- Local guides that explain what to look for, what things cost and which questions to ask.
- Recommendations for specific needs, neighbourhoods and budgets across Toronto and the GTA.
What we stand for
Independence
Rankings are based on research. Payment never buys a higher rank, and any paid relationship is labelled on the page.
Accuracy
We check names, addresses, phone numbers and hours, and show the date we last checked them.
Clarity
We write in plain language and explain our reasoning, so a list is something you can understand, not just trust.
For business owners
If you run a Toronto business, you can suggest it for a list. Every suggestion goes through the same research as every other business, and being suggested never guarantees a place or a rank. If your business is listed and a detail is wrong, send us a correction and we will check it promptly.
